“Middle East Now” is a series of motion graphic trailers created for the annual Middle East Now film and arts festival in Florence — Italy’s most important cultural event dedicated to contemporary Middle Eastern cinema, art and thought.
Commissioned to visually support the festival’s identity and program, the trailers translate themes of cultural diversity, artistic expression and sociopolitical discourse into a compelling sequence of animated visuals and rhythmic motion.
Each trailer was designed to reflect the unique spirit of the festival’s editions, combining dynamic motion with a refined visual vocabulary that resonates with the festival’s curatorial vision. The series balances conceptual depth with visual accessibility, enhancing the festival’s narrative and inviting audiences to engage with its program across digital platforms and event spaces.
The work highlights how motion design can be effectively used to amplify cultural communication — shaping visual stories that embody the festival’s identity and expand its reach.
